Mary McCartney Donald (born August 28, 1969 in London)

First child born to Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney. From 1971, traveled with her parents with their group called Wings. The traveling ended in 1980, after Paul McCartney got busted in Japan.

She is a photographer, a photo-editor, and producer. Was personally invited by England's Prime Minister, Tony Blair, to take the first public photographs of his new child, Leo.

In her colour portraits of Kate Moss, Mary explores the intimate sultry qualities of her sitter and her surroundings. These dusky photographs have a feminine painterly quality to them.

Married on September 26, 1998 to her boyfriend of 3 years, Alistair Donald. Before her mother's death, Linda helped Mary with the wedding plans set in May, but Linda died in April, postponing the wedding to September.

On April 3, 1999, Mary gave birth to Paul McCartney's first grandchild, Arthur Alistair, and had another son, Elliot, on August 1, 2001. Alistair and Mary separated in April 2005. In 2004 Mary began a black and white photographic study entitled OFF POINTE, which involved her trailing dancers from The Royal Ballet Company (London) off stage. The idea for the exhibition first came about when Mary met a dancer from the Corps De Ballet, in a Soho bar. She was intrigued by the contrast between the gruelling painful lifestyle with the fairy tale performance. Over 3 months, focused on the dancers offstage moments. The results are a combination of reality and glamour.

OFF POINTE has been exhibited at the Royal Opera House, London and will be shown at Dimbola Lodge in Isle of White and the San Francisco Art Exchange later this year.

In 2006, She took her father, Paul McCartney's photo for Maximum magazine due to he didn't want anybody else to take his photo and recommended his daughter to take his photo for the photoshoot.
